Hi Everyone,

Just a quick note to wish you all the best over the holiday period. Just in case you didn’t know, this week is the last week of lessons as we finish up for the year on Friday 16th December.

I’ve gotta say, we’ve had an awesome time in the studio this year, it’s definitely been a really spectacular year as we’ve added more performance opportunities for our students with our monthly gigs at The Impossible Market @ The Edwards, Thursday acoustic nights at the Northern Star Hotel, we’ve built a state of the art recording studio (this is going to be so much fun next year!) as well as started the very coolest school band in all the land at Hamilton Public School.

I’d have to say the absolute highlight for me would again have to be our Not Quite End Of Year Gig at Lizottes last month! How freakin’ cool was that day?! Our students were sooo amazing, especially the group songs with no teachers! We will definitely be adding the weekly band rehearsals/jams into the mix next year. We have already had a good number of people put their names down, so let us know if you’d also like to get involved & we can make it happen.

Before we say farewell for 2016….

Join us at the Northern Star Hotel on Beaumont St this Thursday for our last acoustic night of the year! We have 2 of our students Graceyn Neal & Stew Evans doing a set each before an epic end of year jam! This is all ages & family friendly, so come on down & join us for a drink or two & help us celebrate the amazing year we have had. At the end of the performances, we will have a short open mic/jam acoustic session so you can jump on stage & play a song yourself or have a jam with some of the teachers. It’s going to be a fun night to cap off an awesome year!!! Hope to see you there…

O Christmas Tree, O Christmas tree….

We are getting quite festive on the 17th December for Carols in Gregson Park! Right when you thought ‘surely that’s enough performances from these guys this year’, we just go around & throw this right back at ya!

This is going to be a ball, we have the irrepressible Hamilton Public School band (minus a few members due to other christmas commitments) playing their greatest hits collection, as well as students Cassie Lethbridge & Alicia Gomez singing some soulful Christmas carols!

If you haven’t seen this school band play, I highly recommend you come check this out, it’s a completely different & fresh approach to a school band (we have guitars, ukuleles, african drums, a drum kit, keyboards & singers!) & one that even gets local state MP Tim Crakanthorp’s foot a tappin’!

Both Cassie & Alicia are going to put on a stellar performance as per usual as well. If you saw them at Lizottes, you’ll know what I’m talking about, cuz these girls can sing like nothing else!

Q: I’m super keen to get back into lessons & want to know when I’ll be able to get my fix again! A: Lessons start back up again on Monday 30th January 2017 Re-enrolment/enrolment for Term 1 2017 is now open, so please let us know your preferred time slot! For previous students, your enrolment DOES NOT automatically roll over to 2017. We will hold all 2016 time slots until 13th January 2017, if we haven’t heard from you by then, your slot is up for grabs. A lot of students change times and days from one year to the next, we also get a lot of new bookings in January meaning we cannot hold your place indefinitely from 2016 to the new year. Please send us an email (there will be another reminder in early January) or text with your preferred day and time to confirm your slot for 2017.
